Terms of Use
The agreement for using Claimed, the iPhone app and the company web app. Last updated 29 October 2026.
The short version
Claimed reads your receipts and builds expense claims. It records reimbursements; it never moves money. You check a claim before you send it, because a reading can be wrong. Your first claim is free, and after that the app is a subscription you buy and cancel through Apple. Companies that use the web app decide what their people may claim and who approves it. Use Claimed honestly, and we will look after what you put in it as the privacy policy describes.
Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and [Kyle: company name, org number and address] ("Claimed", "we", "us"). If you use Claimed for a company, you also agree to them on behalf of that company, and you confirm you may do so.
They are not an agreement with Apple. The section on the App Store below sets out what that means.
Your account
- On the iPhone you sign in with Apple. On the web you sign in with an email link or with Apple. Keep the devices and the email address you sign in with to yourself.
- One account is one person. Do not share an account, and do not sign in as somebody else.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. What that removes, and what it does not, is in the privacy policy and in "Your data" below.
What Claimed does, and what it does not
- It reads receipts with software. The merchant, date, amount, currency and card fee it reads can be wrong. When it is not sure, it asks. Check every claim before you send it. You are responsible for what you claim.
- Amounts in your home currency are estimates. They use an exchange rate and the card fee you enter. Your card statement is what you were actually charged.
- It moves no money. Marking a claim paid records that a bank paid it. Claimed holds no bank connection and makes no payment. A payment file you download from Claimed is uploaded to your bank by you.
- It is not tax, accounting or legal advice. Whether an expense is reimbursable, deductible or taxable is for you, your employer and your adviser to decide.
Price, the free claim and subscriptions
- The first claim is free. Capturing and reading receipts is not limited before it. Sending a second personal claim needs a subscription.
- Prices. In the euro area, Claimed is 119,99 € a year or 14,99 € a month. Other countries pay the price the App Store shows there, which Apple sets from ours and which includes any VAT or sales tax. The app always shows the price before you buy.
- Renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then shown, until you cancel. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase and at each renewal. To stop the next renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, in your Apple Account settings or from Manage subscription in the app. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds. Apple takes the payment, so Apple handles refunds, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase ourselves. Your rights as a consumer under the law where you live are not affected by this.
- Offer codes. We may give out codes that are redeemed through Apple's own screen in the app. A code gives what it says, for as long as it says, and has no cash value.
- Free accounts. We may make an account free, for good or until a date, for example for people who help us test.
- Claims to a company that uses Claimed are not counted and do not use your free claim. That company's own arrangement with us covers them.
- Price changes. If we change the price of a subscription you hold, Apple tells you first, and where the law or Apple's rules require it you have to agree before you pay the new price.
Companies
The company web app lets a company receive its people's claims, review them, record payment and keep a history. This section applies to a company and to the people who use Claimed on its behalf.
- Access. Claimed for companies is in a small trial. While it is, a company joins by invitation and pays nothing. If that changes we will say what it costs, and when, before you are charged anything.
- Roles. Owners decide who is in the company and what each person may do: approve, pay, or own. The company is responsible for giving those roles to the right people, and for taking them away when someone leaves.
- Spend policy. A company can write a policy in its own words and let Claimed apply it, including approving a claim on its own when it is sure enough. The company chooses the policy and how sure it must be, and stays responsible for the decisions made under it. Every decision says which version of the policy made it, and can be undone or reviewed by a person.
- Payments. Claimed prepares files and records what the company tells it was paid. The company makes the payments, through its own bank, and checks what it uploads there.
- Keys, webhooks and assistants. An owner can create keys and webhooks for the company's own software, and anyone who reviews or pays can connect an assistant. Each works only with the access of the person who set it up, and stops when that access ends. Keep keys and secrets private, and connect only software and assistants you trust. You are responsible for what they do with the access you give them.
- The company's records. Claims a person sent to a company stay with the company, as its record of what it reimbursed, even if that person later deletes their account. Closing a company ends everyone's access to it and keeps its claim records, as the privacy policy describes.
Using Claimed fairly
Do not use Claimed to:
- claim an expense you did not have, or send a receipt you changed or made up;
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- get into an account, a company or data that is not yours, or test, probe or work around our security, including the limits on keys, webhooks and assistants;
- copy, resell or rebuild the service, or take it apart, except where the law allows it;
- send so many requests, or such large files, that it gets in the way of other people using it;
- upload anything that carries malware, or that you have no right to share.
If you do, we may suspend or close the account or the company involved. We will tell you why, unless the law or someone's safety stops us.
Your data
You own what you put into Claimed: your receipts, what you write, your claims. You give us the permission we need to store it, read it and show it to the people you send it to, so the service can work. That permission ends when the data is deleted, apart from copies a company keeps as described above.
What we collect, who processes it, how long we keep it and how to delete it are set out in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
Our part of the work
- Claimed, its software and its name belong to us. These terms give you the right to use them, not to own them.
- We work to keep Claimed available and correct, and to fix what is wrong. Parts of it are new and some are in a trial, so we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we may change or end a feature. If we end something you pay for, we will tell you in good time.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Within those limits:
- Claimed is provided as it is. We are not responsible for a claim you sent without checking it, for a decision a company made or let its policy make, or for a payment a bank made or did not make.
- We are not liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity, or for indirect loss.
- Our total liability to you for anything arising from Claimed in any twelve months is limited to what you paid us in those twelve months.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Claimed at any time and delete your account. Cancelling a subscription is done with Apple, as above; deleting your account does not cancel it by itself. We may end these terms for an account or a company that seriously or repeatedly breaks them. The parts about liability, your data and disputes keep applying after the agreement ends.
The App Store
If you got the iPhone app from the App Store, the following also applies.
- Acknowledgement. These terms are between you and us, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Scope of licence. You may use the app on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service allow. The licence is personal and cannot be transferred.
- Maintenance and support. We alone are responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it.
- Warranty. We are responsible for any product warranty, whether given by us or implied by law, to the extent it is not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, of the app to you. To the fullest extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses arising from a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent these terms do not exclude them.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a United States Government embargo or that the United States Government has designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any terms of a third party that apply when you use the app, for example your mobile data provider's.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, the app and the web app will say so before the change takes effect, rather than only changing the date at the top. If you do not agree to the change, you can stop using Claimed and delete your account before it applies.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Sweden, and any dispute goes to Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt). If you use Claimed as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
